Step 1: Research
As a group, research Roman chariots. Make a Google Doc, share it with your group and the teacher, and include the following information:
- Photo of a chariot from Rome.
- What material were they made of?
- What were chariots used for?
- How many wheels and how big were the wheels?
- How many horses/other animals were used to pull them?
- 1 other interesting fact about chariots in Rome.
Step 2: Design/Test
Each person should take a blank piece of paper and draw your chariot design on the paper, labeling each part.

Test and modify your chariot using any remaining time before the race.
Step 3: Race
Take turns racing your chariot against the others.

Write your reflections for this activity on your Google Doc.
